I sure love a good deal! Can you believe the things people are willing to toss into a dump? Found this on the curb, asked the lady who was packing up a U-Haul if it was broken and she said "No, just needs to be cleaned up." Sold! In less than 10 minutes I had wiped it down, scraped off the stickers, magic-erased some marks, and cleaned the tray with soap & water. Cali has already created 3 masterpieces. This is the 3rd one pictured, that figure toward the top is "Daddy doing ballet!"

I haven't looked into very much yet but I was immediately impressed with how quick and easy it was to print coupons online here. I've tried other sites in the past but gave up on online coupons because of the hassle, the sign-ups, the extra spam mail, the printer function being a pain-in-the-neck, coupons only printing one per page, etc, etc... I came across this site, clicked on a few "Clip" check boxes for coupons I liked, hit PRINT and my printer started spitting them out! Immediately! I didn't even sign-up or register or have to install a special printer program! They even printed 3 per page. I really was amazed.

I *heart* Tevas...

And what I love even more is a great deal on them! Yes when you buy Tevas you are paying for quality shoes that will last... but really who wants to pay $50 for shoes they will outgrow in 3-6 months. That's where Sierratradingpost.com came in. I had never shopped there before but I found these shoes for nearly half off and while I was there I found great deals on a new skirt, shirt & swimsuit for myself. Kodak Customer Service

The downside is my Kodak 5100 AiO is acting up again. It did this before, I followed all the trouble-shooting guides over at kodak.com and in the end I emailed to tell them that the problem was not fixed. Without another question they mailed me a brand new printhead, no charge. The problem was fixed. Again, I install a new color cartridge and the pictures print with lines all across them. I do a calibration and clean the printheads. The pictures are still stripey and now they're pink too. I do the trouble-shoot again and after answering "no" to all the questions of "did that help?" it gives me a case number and the 800-number for support. After confirming all my contact info and briefly describing the problem and telling them it has happened before, the nice man tells me they will send me not only a new printhead but a whole new printer... no charge! It will arrive in 3-5 business days. I just have to return the other one (with the included mailing label). If you EVER have ANY problem with a Kodak product, don't hesitate to call. Their customer services is amazing!

In other news... D pushed my keyboard off the desk and we're now missing the number "two".

Garage Sale Score

I was just taking the kids to McD's for lunch (I had the house all clean for the baby shower and didn't want to make new messes!) and spotted a garage sale on the way out. I resisted but on the way back I stopped just to peek. Didn't even know I had $15 tucked in my jacket. I haven't worn it since we were in Alaska 2 months ago. I'm glad I stopped because I found this awesome Craftsman tool bench for Diego plus a plastic bag stuffed with Mega Blocks all for $10!


The tools are all ours, the Bob bag is where they were before.

Free Starbucks After You Vote

Good Things....

Yep, that old cliche good things come to those who wait. First off we've been talking about getting a nice big counter top of sorts for my craft area. We like all the selection at IKEA and looked several months ago but held off. We went to IKEA on Monday and they just happened to have the exact counter top I wanted in the "AS IS" section for 50% off. We checked out the "leg" options but decided Dave could custom build some for the same price. I didn't think of this til we got it to the office but we just laid it on top of my old desk for now. It's fantastic and worked perfectly for my usual scrap night with friends. Cali was actually the first to scrap on it and she approves too.

On a smaller note I was looking for a nice brown sweater-jacket for "winter" (in quotes because this is Texas we're talking about) and saw one for $35 at Target, well I didn't get it then on Monday found one even better at the Espirit outlet for only $15. I just love a good deal!

Sam's Club Auctions

Never knew this existed. Figured most people didn't. Went to get a specific camera bag set they had on their website and seemed like they would have at the store; didn't see it so asked someone working in electronics if they had them. He told us they hadn't been selling so they were pulled from the shelf and sent off to auction and we could check for them there. Go to http://auctions.samsclub.com/ to check it out.
